What social groups or issues do your products represent?  My film appeals to a wide range of social groups and niches. My film is about a young boy who is suffering from self-isolation and mental illness. A high school student, to be precise. Adolescence is by far the most self-destructive stage of human development. As students progress through middle and high school, mental illness and isolation become more prevalent. After all, it is estimated that one out of every five teenagers suffers from some form of mental illness. Despite the film's short length, the audience may identify with this character. A character who is clearly suffering from mental illness but chooses to isolate himself. The boy communicates with the audience through his feelings rather than his actions. Self-disgust, depression, and existential angst are all symptoms of existential angst. The boy has no idea what he's here for, why he's alive, or how he'll stay alive. Regardless of the circumstanc

Post card: Website:  https://whyofficialmovie.wixsite.com/whyofficialmoive   I loved working on this film with my partners. I saw it as my last biggest project in high school, and the memories I made with them. I will say that it was one of the hardest projects I had to complete. But I pulled through.

Production: (Editing) Music

So there's a problem. Eric and I didn't have music for the movie. The instruction that we had gotten to get the sounds were pretty simple. "Email to ask permission, and wait for a response." We filled that precisely. But when we found what we wanted, and asked permission the owner of the sound said that he would rather not have us feature his sound in our movie. When we asked why he basically said that, because of what our movie was about it deflects the whole purpose of his sound. Eric, using his convincing skills, tried to ask once more if we could use the sound. Once again the man said no.  Back to the drawing board. At this point, we were finding ourselves stuck. Only because, most of the sounds we heard didn't sound good. One day, we continued our search and kept hitting roadblocks. As we looked, there was a sound with a very weird title. We started to laugh at it. My curiosity was pricked. Then I suggested that we listen to it. I thought that we would be a

Production: Social Branding

Eric and I slipt this portion of the process up. We had to create socials for the movie. So my plan was to create content for the socials, like bloopers, and create the Facebook account. Eric took on creating Instagram and Twitter. This process didn't take long. We finished in under an hour during class. Then went back to editing the movie. I got back to editing the website. By this time we were still planning the day for us to start filming. After we did, I was able to take some pictures of us.  After a small break, we took, it slipped my mind to take more. But for the most part, I got some good pictures of us relaxing. Over the winter break, I add the pictures to the website. I also asked Eric to send me most of what he edited, so I could put it on the website. The purpose of this was to make it seem like we already had a trailer out for the movie. We were also confused about the perfect time to post the pictures on the other outlets we had created. It was also hard to get the v

Production: Our Website

I was put on website duty. When I got into this class I was so excited to create it. I created a website for a club I was a part of earlier in quarantine. It was a very long and hard process. But I loved it. I found that making this website for this project was going to be easy. Turns out I was partially incorrect. My reason why was because I was put up against some of the new features on Wix. I had a vision, that the website was going to be as interactive as possible. I wanted viewers to always find something new on it. From watching bloopers, without clicking links. To be able to look at past reviews for the movie. Other than that during class, I got started on looking at templates that I was going to use. I spent the whole class looking for the one, but could not find one. I told Eric that I was going to go home, to continue looking.  By the time I refreshed my page, I found it! It was a template for a SciFi movie. I liked the way that it looked, but me being me, I wanted to find s

Production: Fisrt Day Out

First Day of filming! It's been so long since I've been able to get out and prepare to film. As Eric and I prepared for this day we talked about what we planned on doing. Earlier in the year, we ask one of our classmates, who is in AS Level if they would want to be one of the characters in the movie. To which, of course, he said yes. Once the day came, we sat down and talked about what we were going to do for the next four hours we were there.  We really had to get most of our filming done that day because it needed to be enough for Eric to edit and see if we might need to refilm. We said we were going to be filming the introduction of our characters. Our goal was the get through more than half of the film so that we could be able to film the climax and ending the next time we met up. As always I was, prepared with all of my filming equipment, except for one thing. This thing was the camera lenses for the phone that was going to be used to film the movie. I had just ordered i
